Yeah, what about that 2.2.0? :) The z80 code seems to be OK. I'm not
sure how to handle the libraries. As I mentioned I took the libs from
gbdk and made chunks of it work for the z80, but they dont fit in very
well with the current sdcc libs. Perhaps for 2.2.0 we can keep the split,
giving people a link to download gbdk-lib and maybee a precompiled

I am in the middle of ripping the guts out of the code generator to
make spill to the xdata segment instead of data: it's incredible how
many different ways this breaks the mcs51 code generator... this is
necessary if this is going to be useful for anything more than a toy,
though, because even compiling the dhrystone benchmark completely
fills the data segment with spills. The TCP stack I am trying to get
running blows it out by several K...
Anyway, this work is ongoing, and probably shouldn't hold back 2.2.0.
One thing that should be checked, though, is that right now, the
Borland C++ generated binaries don't generate any code at all (the
CSEG is empty...). This may be a result of my local hacking, so I'll
grab a clean copy and check this (probably tomorrow night). The BC++
binaries are so much faster under Windows that it would be really
nice to be able to distribute them.
Also, I had to hack the Makefiles to add the avr port to the PORTS
section: is this my problem, or did you forget to check in the
modified Makefiles, Sandeep? (and yes, I did re-run configure).
