Jeff, Yes the PIC port is actively under development. My goal is to have SDCC generate "beta" quality code for the PIC port. Note, the beta-ness doesn't reflect upon the SDCC core, but instead on just the PIC port. I'm currently working on banked register accesses. Incidently, most of the basic stuff already works. You can get an idea by looking at the regression code that I've created for the PIC port (it's not part of the main regression testing): http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/sdcc/sdcc/src/regression/ In somewhat of a departure from SDCC, I've decided to use the gnupic project's tools for the backend. This means that you'll need gpasm and/or gpsim. Targetting gnupic's tools also implies an easy integration path into MicroChip's MPLAB (although as an exclusive Linux user, I personally never use MicroChip's tools). Scott |
