It is now 90% functional and I only have the remaining problems of rebuilding the libraries and getting Rigel to open up their IDE which they have agreed to do (but are not moving too quickly). They have a good sim/load/monitor though this combination does not allow full "C" debugging, just assembler with C source in the comments. What might invalidate this work is jsim51 which is a simpler but in some ways better simulator with some very weird problems (at least on my machine) that Jens has not responded to (it doesn't have a native monitor either). There might be some combination of sim/load/monitor out there that gives you everything but the translator/rigelcorp system was what I started on. If anyone has been able to get jsim51 to work without 1) hitting infinite loops, 2) getting all the line numbers two off, or 3) in conjunction with a good monitor I would love to hear about it. The enigma system was panned for the author's reluctance to support sdcc and I wonder if anyone has come up with any other solutions? |
