Feature Requests item #453711, was opened at 2001-08-21 15:04 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by maartenbrock You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350599&aid=453711&group_id=599 Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Summary: More than 256 bytes external stack Initial Comment: In order to port an RTOS you need to have additional stack space to the on chip stack of the 8051. This means the compiler should use an "external stack pointer" which uses the external RAM as a stack space. At the moment only 256 additional bytes are implemented and not well tested:) as an external stack. It would be nice to have more than this available as stack space. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Maarten Brock (maartenbrock) Date: 2004-10-15 09:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=888171 This is an old one. And I'm wondering if there is anyone around (except the anonymous original poster) who is interested in this. If not I will close this RFE in a month or so.
