Been using sdcc for awhile now just for compiling C code for my 8051 based chips, but I've been wanting to try some projects with both C and assembly code. I've been doing some inline assembly coding and all is working great. I then decided to try writing my own assembly routines and call them from C functions. I looked at http://sdcc.sourceforge.net/doc/sdccman.html/node83.html for some help, but I'm a bit confused, especially with the assembly directives before the asm_func implementation. What exactly are those there for? Also, if I wanted to have functions with less than two parameters (one or no parameters), how would I accomplish that?
