Wikipedia culture is pretty complex, but I found this:

If I understand the text correctly, it says that an article deleted because it was marked 'prod' (as was the SDCC article) can be undeleted by any admin.  It looks like this is some sort of quick deletion procedure that is very light-weight in process.  If anyone asks the article is easy to reinstate, but may be moved into a more process oriented deletion procedure.

Is anyone with a wikipedia account willing to ask an admin to undelete the article?
