I just added the whole family 18f[24][45]j10 to my local tree. Due to the code freeze, I will not commit the changes until after the release.

However, gputils does not yet like the device family: the assembler from the current CVS version chokes on the `p=18f24j10' directive... Could you check if gputils indeed do support the device?!? I mean, the .inc and .lkr files are there, but the devices are not mentioned in libgputils/gpprocessor.[ch]...
I will commit the added family with disabled I/O libraries after the release is done.

    Regards,
    Raphael

PS: For your convenience, I try to upload the patch required to add device support to SDCC r4608.
Apply in /source/of/sdcc (where ChangeLog resides) with
    patch -p0 < 18f45j10-family.patch
Afterwards, you need to recompile (and install) SDCC (completely, src, devices/lib/pic16, and devices/lib).

    File Added: 18f45j10-family.patch

You are right, gputils does not have support for these devices, only header and linker script. I created a patch for gputils and submitted it to their tracker.
I'm going to test patched sdcc soon.

    Thanks,
    Henri

Committed added devices (18f[24][45]j10) in r4821.

As announced, I/O libs will not be built by default, as the devices are not yet supported by gputils.
Check and modify device/lib/pic16/libio/{i2c,adc,usart}.ignore if your gputils do support them and you want to use them.

    Regards,
    Raphael

I can confirm at the time of writing, gputils did not support the devices mentioned. However, the devices are now supported in the gputils CVS repository, and the next release of gputils will include support for them.
