I quickly created a possibility to export scuttle's bookmarks in a format that makes them importable to Firefox & Internet Explorer.

Did so by cloning the scuttle API's posts_all.php, changing it to the Netscape Bookmark file format - see here http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa753582\(VS.85).aspx

(that format or some variant is used by IE's & FF's bookmark export&import)

generally the thing is expandable, with a larger amount of work, to create folders corresponding to tags. However one bookmark would then have to be placed in as many folders as it has tags.

    forgot to mention:

just add the file into the /api/ directory.

the file takes the "sort"-parameter. so these will work:

yourscuttledomain.net/api/export_all.php (giving you your bookmarks sorted recent first)
    yourscuttledomain.net/api/export_all.php?sort=title_asc sorted by date
yourscuttledomain.net/api/export_all.php?tag=megasite (gives you your bookmarks that are tagged with "megasite")
yourscuttledomain.net/api/export_all.php?tag=megasite&sort=title_asc (gives you your bookmarks that are tagged with "megasite", sorted alphabetically by title)

    Good job.
After minor changes, I've just integrated it into the trunk.

However I wonder if it can't be just a parameter of posts_all.php. We'll see later.

this changed version might be of use: (didn't check what mensonge changed in the SemanticScuttle version)

it serves to make the "scuttle-tags-import into Firefox 3 via delicious"-process easier.
