I've commited a possible fix to CVS, it may not fix this
specific instance but was what stood out from the crash point.

I've updated and now it doesn't crash and so works with
local sites. But when I try to upload a Site from a nfs
mounted volume, screem says that it only can upload local
sites. Well, is it really that impossible to upload nfs
    mounted sites?

Err, forgot to mention that I want to upload the nfs mounted
files to an ftp server in the web. The nfs mounted data,
though, is from my home network.

hmm, that is odd, just guessing but it may be something in
sitecopy to do with locking files. If you have sitecopy
itself installed can it upload the site?

I've just installed it and it does work with sitecopy.

Ok, I've found another on that's more or less related to
this. When I try to upload the nfs mounted site, it first
shows me that I can't do this, like said. But then, I can't
save a file anymore. Editing and then pressing control+s or
even pressing a save button doesn't do anything, it just
    stays unsaved.

    Steps to reproduce:

Open a file, select Tools->Upload, then edit something in
the file and now try to save. It doesn't do it, at least on
my machine with a nfs mounted site.

The error that only local sites can be uploaded was caused
by using gnome_vfs_uri_is_local() which presumably knew that
the path was an nfs mount. This should be fixed in cvs

Yes, it is fixed now, I can upload my nfs mounted site. The
problem, that after an upload newly opened files can't be
    saved, still exists, though.

What happens when you try to save them? The modified status
stays? new files don't appear in the file listing? or the
Failed to save dialog is displayed?

    Hi,

they simply stay modified and the only possibility then is
to close the file and open it again.

well, now the cvs version again doesn't want to upload nfs
mounted sites, it says that the local path has to begin with
~ or /. The same project loaded from local harddisk uploads,
    though.

oh, there is a comment just above the code that shows that
that says it should never occur :-)

Ok, I see why this is occuring, should be fixed now, as soon
    as anon cvs syncs up.
