This was going to be a straight ahead feature request, that went ... well , it's own way.

Preface:
- I have encountered many scenarios, where I was working & found SciTE's Session feature to be limited,
& often wished I can have some kind of control of my files display state, hence:

The Concept: SciTE File State.
\------------------------------
\* SciTE State File: similar to a session file, being with the option to expand & hold specific file informatio, for a Single File.

Basic SciTE Handling Requirements:
\* manage independent Folds ,Bookmarks, & Position.
\* be Independent & Unobtrusive of regular Session Restores.
\* Should work With OPEN documents:
\- Should preserve the Current document state.
\- should be able to restore a previously saved state, in an addition fashion, keeping whatever Folds,Bookmarks,Position,Selection, the user currently has.

Master State File vs. Individual State Files;
\*Deciding between a master state file, & individual state files, but decided to go with individual files, for flexibility/portability.

So These are the BASIC points, if the concept is to be accepted, more can follow.
Please let me know, what you think about this.

While it may be a good way to design an editor, having a second mechanism similar to sessions would be more confusing than its worth for most. Session files allow different state to be remembered for different projects - consider having a library file open for reference inside a project.

I think the best way forward would be for you to produce a fork and see if others like it,

These sorts of issues are better discussed on the mailing list since others may like it and its not an area I'm interested in.

Thank you for the quick reply.
As I have mentioned, my first goal was the eternal first do no harm:
"be Independent & Unobtrusive of regular Session Restores."

I do not know how to produce a 'fork', or where this mailing list is.
I was just hoping You would find interest in it, & implement it.

The only thing I can do, is to supply you a working proof of concept, in an attempt to convince you.
