This was going to be a straight ahead feature request, that went ... well , it's own way.
- I have encountered many scenarios, where I was working & found SciTE's Session feature to be limited,
& often wished I can have some kind of control of my files display state, hence:
The Concept: SciTE File State. \------------------------------ \* SciTE State File: similar to a session file, being with the option to expand & hold specific file informatio, for a Single File. Basic SciTE Handling Requirements: \* manage independent Folds ,Bookmarks, & Position. \* be Independent & Unobtrusive of regular Session Restores. \* Should work With OPEN documents: \- Should preserve the Current document state. \- should be able to restore a previously saved state, in an addition fashion, keeping whatever Folds,Bookmarks,Position,Selection, the user currently has. Master State File vs. Individual State Files; \*Deciding between a master state file, & individual state files, but decided to go with individual files, for flexibility/portability. So These are the BASIC points, if the concept is to be accepted, more can follow. Please let me know, what you think about this.
