I have created a modification to Scintilla. I am presenting my modification here to allow the feature to be integrated into Scintilla.
I found it to be useful to allow the Keyboard keys: Up and Down arrow to be used to select between different Call Tips in a Multiple
call tip that contains the up and down arrow indicators in the call tip text.

I only had to modify one file:
win32/ScintillaWin.cxx

right after the case statement line:
case WM_KEYDOWN: {

I simply added the following code:

if (ct.inCallTipMode)
{
if ((int)wParam == VK_UP)
{
ct.clickPlace = 1 ;
CallTipClick();
break ;
}
else if ((int)wParam == VK_DOWN)
{
ct.clickPlace = 2 ;
CallTipClick();
break ;
}
}

There is also a modification to ScintillaDoc.html that I will not
represent here because the html characters may mess up
this page. I have attached a text file that highlights all
the changes I made including the ScintillaDoc.html.

    Explains all the changes neccessary.

    Looks like I could handle this one by sub classing also. Probably no need to implement this feature either.

    While this may be wanted by some, it may not be wanted by others. Leaving the decision to applications seems reasonable.

  • Successfully added this option to my project using subclassing.

    This feature does not need to be and should not be added. Niel has helped me.

    I subclassed this feature using standard subclassing. Works great. I would say close this request. Not needed.
