This causes problems with languages like Python. I didn't see any property to change this behavior.

    Actually, this doesn't cause a problem with Python itself. However, it might be an issue for tools that assume the block ends on the first line with no indentation (even if it's blank).

    This behaviour is deliberate and is preferred by most. You can add a block indent script that performs your preferred action.
