Scite 1.65 (in Windows XP. Full download. Saving recent
files and line number displaying enabled) doesn't scale
the horizontal scrollbar so, that it would show the
whole width of the document. End of the long lines are
beyond "reach" of the scrollbar i.e. when I drag the
scrollbar to it's rightmost end, rest of the long lines
are not displayed on the screen. However, if I then
select some of those long lines and move the cursor to
right until end of line, the scrollbar is extended to
match the lenght of the row. But if there are some rows
longer than the one seleted before, those still are not
shown completely.

I remember that I have experienced also with earlier
versions of (windows) Scite. Haven't tried this yet
with gtk-version.

    From SciTEFAQ:

"To avoid slow performance the horizontal scroll bar does not
    automatically adjust."

However, other editors adjust it automatically and it isn't that
slow I think. It can be probably done faster for fixed-width
    fonts that for variable-width ones.

I agree that an option to automatically adjust the scrollbar
    would be nice.

The problem also exists with version 1.67.

The END key on the keyboard fails to display the end of
the line. The visual horizontal scrolling stops somewhere
and I believe the cursor exists at the end of the line, but
the editor fails to display the end of the line. Pushing the
right arrow key moves the cursor to the next line (proving
that a CR+LF exists at the end of the line of text). Editing
the end of such a line fails to display the results of the
edit and the displayed text remains in place (no scrolling
    occurs).

To duplicate the problem, create a new document, insert one
line of text with 65000 characters of text (2067 lines of
text on my test, created by an SQL query combining 3 tables,
each of 3 records, 13 records and 53 records) exported to a
.csv file and then edited with SciTE, which handled the
"\r\n" to ", " conversion very well, but fails to scroll to
the end of the line after the edit when the document gets
    opened again.

Upon taking a look at the dynamics of the scrollbar,
specifically at character position 65535 the visual
rendering works well, but after that, things go screwy. A
32-bit value instead of a 16-bit value for the horizontal
scrolling position might fix the problem?

Now updates to ensure visible lines are fully scrollable.
