Hi, I just started using GTK and GTK+EXTRA. As such, I used glade to generate my UI and manually added a plotcanvas to a gtknotebook page on which I will be plotting 4 ~large(32K,64K) spectra. I am noticing that when clicking the tab with the plotcanvas on it, it takes a long time (~10-15 sec) for the plot page to update. The FFTs themselves don't take much time, <1sec. I don't have access to the code I'm writing right now, but it pretty much follows the testplot code with the exception that the canvas is being stuffed into a notebook page. Another odd thing is that I get gdk errors about not having a plottable window (window!=NULL, I think) GTK warnings. I was wondering if putting the plot in a notebook page was a BadIdea(TM) or if there's something else I might try. My next step is to just pop open a seperate window for the plots to see if there's extra notebook overhead, but I haven't done that yet. Any ideas? Thanks, fizzix ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup |
