Hello, I use scidavis on a archlinux system and scidavis come from AUR. If a scidavis project contains some formulas like : a0=0.909741706130406 a1=-0.0644426214083297 a2=0.000568159827735912 a0+a1*x+a2*x^2 When I open the file, I get this error message : linéaireAjustement3:0 Undefined token "; w=3.76759636063011; A*sqrt(2/PI)/w*exp(-2*((x-146.83)/w)^2)+120.515082928701*sqrt(2/PI)/6.77385219015119*exp(-2*((x-137.37)/6.77385219015119)^2) " found at position 18. Unfortunately scidavis erases the fitting curves. Also, if I try to add a curve to a graph with my example formula, the error message is : F5:0 Undefined token "; a1=-0.0644426214083297; a2=0.000568159827735912; a0+a1*x+a2*x^2 " found at position 20. |

I run scidavis on archlinus too and I get a similar problem with a project that does contains a function obtained from a fit. There is a pop-up window with: Non-lineaireAjustement1:0 Udefined Token ";R*x " found at position 18. and scidavis also erases the fitting curves. |

Here is another report, I did on archlinux. After reading again the problem of Duwenn, I think it may not be the reason There is a recent bug, probably linked with the last update(at least it was not present in July of 2010), when loading a project with a fitted function represented in a graph. The functions are lost. It gives an error pop-up window entitled "Input Function error" containing: NonLinearFit1:0 Undefined token ";=978.16764340164;t0=23.022..........;x0+0.5*g*(x-t0)^2" found at position 21. With two functions I got an error for each functions! My guess is that error may correspond to caracter "=" and "*", that wouldn be parsed well On 03/02/2011 06:19, Nolwenn DOUCET wrote: > Hello, > > I use scidavis on a archlinux system and scidavis come from AUR. > > If a scidavis project contains some formulas like : > > a0=0.909741706130406 > a1=-0.0644426214083297 > a2=0.000568159827735912 > > a0+a1*x+a2*x^2 > > When I open the file, I get this error message : > > linéaireAjustement3:0 > > Undefined token "; w=3.76759636063011; > A*sqrt(2/PI)/w*exp(-2*((x-146.83)/w)^2)+120.515082928701*sqrt(2/PI)/6.77385219015119*exp(-2*((x-137.37)/6.77385219015119)^2) > " found at position 18. > > Unfortunately scidavis erases the fitting curves. > > Also, if I try to add a curve to a graph with my example formula, the > error message is : > > F5:0 > > Undefined token "; a1=-0.0644426214083297; a2=0.000568159827735912; > a0+a1*x+a2*x^2 " found at position 20. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > The ultimate all-in-one performance toolkit: Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE: > Pinpoint memory and threading errors before they happen. > Find and fix more than 250 security defects in the development cycle. > Locate bottlenecks in serial and parallel code that limit performance. > http://p.sf.net/sfu/intel-dev2devfeb > _______________________________________________ > Scidavis-users mailing list > Sci...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/scidavis-users |

Is it possible that this problem could be linked to new version on archlinux, which is always getting new stuff early? That problem is really really bad and make scidavis quite unusable. |
