I've been wondering if lifting most of the contents of the Beyond ANSI and Contributed Modules chapters into individual chapters would make stuff easier to find. Something like: - Introduction - Idiosyncracies - Compiler (incl. "Efficiency"?) - Deubgger - MOP - Threading - Package locks - OS Interface (incl. "Support for Unix" and sb-posix) - FFI (incl. sb-grovel) - Networking - Misc. extensions (incl. sb-md5, sb-rotate-byte, truely-the, misc sb-ext stuff, etc) A downside of such an organization is that the relation of core SBCL and contribs may get a bit fuzzy to users, but I personally think the overall ease of finding stuff is more important. Ok, feel free to point out how horrible this is. ;-) Cheers, -- Nikodemus "Not as clumsy or random as a C++ or Java. An elegant weapon for a more civilized time." |
