Seeing as we're two days away from freeze, and due to some guilting
from Dan, I thought I would detail the current state of SBCL on
* Christophe has fixed the run-program SIGTRAP-of-death in CVS. Owners
of single-processor machines rejoice.
* Brian Downing has fixed up my build patch so it all builds cleanly
from make.sh . Self-builders of SBCL rejoice.
* I've cleaned up the rest of the patch and changed DARWIN to
LISP_FEATURE_DARWIN everywhere; this required some reordering of
#includes to make sure that sbcl.h always preceded uses of
* There have been intermittent SIGILL problems in CVS HEAD; often
switching compilers seems to fix this.
To that end I have attached a patch against CVS HEAD which includes the
current state of things. I would appreciate it if people would test it,
especially with both GCC 3.1 and 3.3 (to switch this, use
src/runtime/Config.ppc-darwin and change gcc3 to gcc-3.3). It would
also be nice if people would test on Linux/ppc or non-ppc to verify
that the patch does not break anything.
