I'm fairly sure that this is recently broken: calling cl:load on a
pathname which does not exist, but where a corresponding .lisp file
does, returns NIL without loading anything.
sbcl --eval '(print (load "/tmp/example.frobnicator"))'
(I assume that this wasn't intentional.)
