Wanted to post a quick update on the status of the Solaris port.
a.) Solaris x86 and x86_64 are both stable enough to be a mainstream
parts of the 1.0.44 release. Solaris x86 1.0.43 binaries are on
the sourceforge files page, although this is not yet reflected in
the download page on sbcl.org.
b.) Solaris x86_64 has the same issues with trace support that Darwin
x86_64 has. For the time being, I have added sunos to the feature
test in debug.impure.lisp. I am actively working on this, but
don't know whether a fix will be in for 1.0.44. Solaris x86 is
unaffected by this problem, and all other tests succeed where
c.) There is a new issue with mktemp/mkstemp on Solaris which I expect
to have a fix for today or tomorrow.
I'll be submitting the current state of my source tree via launchpad
late today or sometime tomorrow. When these changes are accepted or
rejected, I'll build a new set of Solaris x86 and x86_64 test binaries,
and post these for people who want to test.
