It seems to be a bad day for me and sourceforge; "cvs tag" is still
cvs tag: [00:34:15] waiting for antifuchs's lock in /cvsroot/sbcl/sbcl/contrib/sb-bsd-sockets
and independently the scp-to-sbcl.sf.net hack that I use as part of
the upload has gone flaky with
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
most of the time for ssh and all the time for scp.
Meanwhile, it should be OK to commit changes to CVS, and I will try to
get the tagging and file releases done in the next few days.

Oh whoops. That looks like a ... good-bye present that the arch
conversion script left behind. Sigh. I have submitted a support request
and hope that this will be the last stale lock file that I leave lying
around in the foreseeable future.
In less awful news, I put up binaries for x86+_64/linux, x86/darwin and
x86/freebsd4. It would be good to have more binaries of 1.0.0beta up.

I'll do ppc/darwin shortly and x86/windows later today.
