According to BUGS it is not, but according to the comment in
src/pcl/boot.lisp, line 596, maybe it is gone ...
Could you (William), elaborate on this please, if you did not
already fix it?

Yes, it's gone; I just forgot to delete the BUGS entry.
Probably I should have put a test case in the BUGS entry, something

Compiling this under my old Debian CMU CL 2.4.17 gives
Warning: In defmethod (FROB NIL (FOO)), there is a
redundant ignore declaration for the parameter (FOO).
Sufficiently old SBCL signalled a similar warning. In current
SBCL the code compiles without complaint.
