I'm really sorry to say that I can't reproduce this.
My recollection was that I was trying to run a CLIM app that had always worked for me, and that absolutely would not run - and I'd made no significant changes. This was the worst of its collapses. I eventually deleted my MCCLIM and re-installed it using QUICKLISP and all was peachy again.
My theory was that somehow in the process of trying to recompile my system, ASDF/require had decided to recompile some portion of MCCLIM and everything got out of whack. However, this was the only explanation/theory I could come up with, and I had no way (or time) to do things like look at all the fasl write dates, etc, so the only evidence I was correct was that the reinstall fixed the problem.
Sorry I can't be of more help - I wouldn't have reported this weirdness if it weren't for the polite request "Please report to sbcl-devel ... "
