The way I remembered the outcome is that most things in Quicklisp got cleaned up for the resulting warnings. But now I can't find the reference to it, maybe it was on a different mailing list. Personally I have to deal with a couple imported libraries that don't like me having updated to the new SBCL, and we generally treat warnings as errors. I have to decide how I want to handle that (ignore warnings, fix warnings, update libraries, disable warnings etc). So I was just looking what other people did.
