There's a fair bit of material in the HTML documentation that comes with
the product (or if you use Instant Saxon, on the web at
http://saxon.sf.net/ ), and there's a chapter on Saxon in my book XSLT
Programmer's Reference. If that's not enough, I'm afraid you'll just
have to ask questions on this list.
For many people who are new to Saxon but know Microsoft products, the
initial hurdle is learning how to run Java applications and set the
classpath. It's worth reading the Java documentation to get a feel for
