Hi Michael,

clear, but it's not allowed to cache objects which are not serializable (in my current project).
Hope its possible to serialize compiled stylesheets in a future version of saxon.

Many thx again!
Liv

It seems to be its currently not possible to store generated bytecode. Right?
Yes, that's correct: it exists only in memory. (We don't attempt to compile everything in the stylesheet to bytecode, only the parts that we think will benefit from compilation.)

More often than not setup of an transformer needs more time as the transformation (in my scenario).  So I try to deploy a compiled stylesheed into my app-server. It is possible?

The usual approach is to keep an in-memory cache containing the compiled stylesheet object (JAXP Templates, s9api XsltExecutable), so that each stylesheet is compiled only the first time it is used.
