No, there is no such mechanism.
 
XSLT coding questions are best asked on the xsl-list at mulberrytech.com. If you explain there the nature of the transformation you want to perform (with example inputs and output) I am sure someone will have ideas on how to go about it, without the mechanism you asked about.

I m using for-each-group to navigate in a group of Person and do not know if there is any way to reference the previous or the next group attributes.
