The W3C maintains open XQuery parsers and documentation at
    http://www.w3.org/2010/02/qt-applets/

First, please note that this forum has been superseded by the new Saxon
    community site at http://dev.saxonica.com/.

Sometimes when people say "parser" they are referring incorrectly to the XSLT
or XQuery processor, but I guess you are using the term correctly to refer to
the XQuery syntax analyzer and tokenizer. These are open source and you are
free to use them, but you will not find any documentation other than the
comments in the code. I don't think it's the best XQuery parser in the world -
    it's a rather crude hand-written top-down recursive descent parser - but it
    works.
