It is apparently a permissions issue, since your suggestion to remove the log file location instruction allowed the script to work. The log file very nicely and logically shows up as /var/log/liquidsoap/main.log. Thank you for the work you did to set this ebuild up. This rocks! Now to see how it goes on my production server...
