Did you compile SaVi successfully? What version of SaVi are you using (latest is 1.4.3), on what platform?
Which makefile (make ARCH=linux, make ARCH=macosx, or similar) did you use?
What version of Tcl/Tk do you have installed?
Does the version of Tcl and its location indicated in the makefile configuration (savi1.4.3/src/Makefile_defs.linux or whatever) match the version and location given in the ./savi wrapper script?
check the version of Tcl you have installed by doing:
% info tclversion
% puts tk_version
If you have e.g. 8.4 instead of 8.5 (which 1.4.3 expects on most platforms), you will need to modify the ./savi script and possibly the makefile_defs to look for 8.4, not 8.5.
