Dear Members,

i get the following message while running sarge on a brazilfw box:

\'iconv cannot convert from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 - Invalid argument \'

I dont have to say that nothing being generated. Any idea? I dont know linux that much to solve this and have to find solution very fast. ):

  • The only place where iconv is used is in the graphs generation. You can get rid of the error if you set graphs to no in sarg.conf.

    You can also have a look at the charset option in sarg.conf. Make sure the argument to the charset option doesn't contain any invalid character or trailing space.

    What version of sarg are you using?

    Hello Frederic,

    the problem been solved, the reports are generated well now.

    I thought that the report page is missing from brazilfw simply because there is no report generated at all... so i tried to run sarg manually without any parameters...
    Then i found out that there is a missing line in a config file... put that in (WEB_CONTENT_FILTER='yes' in custom/squid.conf) and now the reports are generated well with some default timing with the required parameters.
