SAGA 2.0.3 released

SAGA 2.0.3 Release Notes

Dear SAGA user community,

it took a while longer than expected that we decided to release a new version of SAGA. But now the time has come. We will not say much about program improvements, bug fixes and new modules in these release notes, though probably a lot could be said. Instead we want to announce only a few things. Most members of the SAGA core developer team have moved from Goettingen to Hamburg, which explains a little bit our quasi laziness.

Due to this the SAGA homepage and user forum at http://www.saga-gis.uni-goettingen.de we will soon be closed. We invite you to use the SAGA project homepage forums and trackers (http://sourceforge.net/projects/saga-gis). Here you find a SAGA Wiki too - it is still quite empty, so feel free to contribute.

We also did not make it to really promote the Second International SAGA User Meeting in a broad way. The meeting will be held in Salzburg, Austria, at the 3rd of July 2008 (it's next week) as workshop associated with the AGIT (http://www.agit.at/). A special issue of the 'Hamburger Beitraege zur Physischen Geographie und Landschaftsoekologie' with the title 'SAGA - Seconds Out' will be published in this context and most of the authors will give a presentation on the meeting. We are looking forward to have fruitful discussions there concerning SAGA and its future development. We will keep you informed about any decisions and progresses.

Thanks again to all supporters of SAGA world wide.
And now I wish that you enjoy the world of spatial analysis with SAGA.
