I have a blind programmer who would like to be able to
use an rxvt under Cygwin. Unfortunately, his screen
reader program (JAWS) requires a blinking cursor to
locate the prompt. I don't want blinking text (eww),
just the cursor. I read in the FAQ that this is
unlikely to be implemented, but I thought I'd put in a
request anyway considering there is an actual need
instead of just a preference. Thanks.

Good idea. After all, real terminals offer blinking cursors.

It's currently being considered as a compile time option and
may be available in the next release.

Blinking cursor (via option -bc) is now in the CVS
repository and will be available in the next version.
Currently has a fixed timeout (half a second) though this
    may be settable in future.
