Bug with Redhat9 setuptool. menu edges drawn
incorrectly often crashing curses leaving setup running.

Man pages also display weirdness; backquotes seem to be
incorrectly displayed

    Thanks for the pics. BTW, is your TERM environmental
    variable set to "xterm"? Does this occur with TERM=rxvt?

    i run rxvt with the following command

    'rxvt -bg black -fg white -fn vga -ls -sb +sr -sl 2000 -cr
    red -tn xterm'

    same effect is observerd with '-tn rxvt'

    Am currently downloading Redhat 9 ISOs (will take quite a
    while). Am guessing that for some reason Redhat thinks it
    should be outputting Unicode to the terminal.
