As a brazilian citzen I'm ashamed to report another GPL violation.

I was browsing the internet the other day and stumbled over this webpage (http://www.aprouter.com.br).

I noticed after a few minutes reading on about their products that their "AP ROUTER NG" firmware is most likely to be based on your project.
Although the firmwares are available for download for free (http://www.aprouter.com.br/new2006/htm/download_ing.php), _the source code is not_!

I contacted the developers but they told me they were not allowed to release their source code.

I understand that they developed a web-based interface to control the whole system, and that they are entitled to release that under any licence they want, _BUT_ they have to release the GPLd source code they altered/used such as your project's source code.

Be aware that ItalBrasNET is _NOT_ a garage company, they are rather a successfull company here in Brazil. They are making big bucks, mainly by licencing YOUR CODE under a COMERCIAL LICENCE, enough to get noticed by the website "The Inquirer "(http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=32691).

I quote from the article above:
"I got in touch in the nice folks at Italbrasnet and they sent me a copy of this firmware. I just wish they had the time to translate the release notes to English -or Spanish for that matter-, as I don't read much Portuguese. Finally, while this might be likely a derivative of the original open source firmware, I haven't seen any mention on its web page of the company offering the modified source code as well -as they should under the GPL-, although I haven't looked that hard, so I'm sure there must be a reference somewhere."

I hope you and the developers of AP Router NG can get to an agreement so all of us can enjoy all of the basic 4 freedoms we are entitled when using GPL software.

Keep up the good work, and if you need any help contacting them I'll be more than happy to help you with the language barriers.
