Is it possible for the webpage to open in the preview page when I click on a specific rss item or when I click on the on the hyperlink in the preview pane frame?

Have a look in General Settings. You can define to directly open the URL of a newsitem in case the description is empty, or more strict, for each news.

Ahhh, thank you! I though those settings would cause the item to be opened in my default web browser.
Well it will if you have set in Browser preferences to use an external Browser.
