    Hello.

Every time I load this feed: http://www.biblegateway.com/usage/votd/rss/votd.rdf?31
it is always unread even though I have marked it as read right before reloading it.

Every time I load this feed:
    http://www.nintendo.com/rss.xml
the entries show up in backwards date order. Resorting them puts them in the right order.

Are these problems with RSSOwl or with the feeds themselves?

    Thanks.

Also http://www.eclipse.org/eclipseinthenews.rss has a weird date format that isn't sorted correctly.

    • Thanks for reporting these issues. Both look like Bugs in RSSOwl. I am going to fix them for 1.2.2.

I found another feed that isn't correctly sorted, even in 1.2.2 Release Candidate 1:
        http://www.winsupersite.com/supersite.xml

        • Thanks for the info, going to look into a fix for 1.2.2 final.

          Ben

    • Actually giving a closer look to http://www.biblegateway.com/usage/votd/rss/votd.rdf?31 shows that there is a problem with the feed. the Date is updated on each access. Thats not what a feedreader is expecting.

    • Problems with sorting by date in 1.2.2 Preview Release:
      http://www.pcwelt.de/news/rss/news.xml

      • Thanks for the info, will be fixed for 1.2.2 final.

I also found this feed: http://www.xxxchurch.com/rss/x3podcast.xml

There is one item in the feed where the date is 14July 2006 12:00:00 -0800, where there's no space between the 14 and July. This is probably the feed's fault, but it would be nice if RSSOwl could handle this.

      • I should better read your post ;). i think this should really be fixed on the feed's side.

        Ben

      • Works for me except for the last newsitem in that feed.

      Hey, I found another feed:
      http://feeds.feedburner.com/diggnation

The date published isn't correct for any of the items.

      • Works for me.

I also have a feed that presents as partly unread when I reload even though I have marked all the items as read.
      http://skatteverket.se/4.dfe345a107ebcc9baf800017593/12.dfe345a107ebcc9baf800017599.portlet?state=rss&contentType=text/xml;charset=UTF-8

Is this the feed or rssowl?

      • Weird, this looks like a bug in RSSOwl, but I am not sure yet. Will look into this tomorrow.

I've not had this problem for a while now and suddenly it reappeared. It could be a problem with the feed, but I don't know how to check that.

      • I assume you are using RSSOwl 1.2.3? Was it happening for all your feeds or only one? If its reappearing, please let me know the URL of the feed.

      Hi,

Yes I am using 1.2.3, I only have 1 feed running at the moment. It does not mark all of the topics unread in the feed only some. As I noted before the behvaiour was gone for a while but has reappeared now. The URL for the feed is:
      http://skatteverket.se/4.dfe345a107ebcc9baf800017593/12.dfe345a107ebcc9baf800017599.portlet?state=rss&contentType=text/xml;charset=UTF-8

      Thanks.
      Veronica

      • This is a bug in the feed. The pubDate gets updated once per reload. Thats considered very bad behavior.

      What about this feed: http://www.phpbb.com/rss.php
The items aren't date sorted correctly.
Is this a problem with the feed or RSSOwl?

      • Will be fixed for the next release.

    • Maybe it is a stupid questopn but I would like to know if there is a possible date fpr the first versions of the new rssowl? Everyone talk about the next release as if everything is written on the hp.

      • I am going to post a news on rssowl.org in a few days. The next major version will be available as a preview in about 2 weeks. But don't expect it to be fully working. A final 2.0 release is planned for end of this year (including all features we desire).

    • Btw RSSOwl2 is working for the feed (boreal.rssowl.org). Try it out!
