I just upgraded to 2.1.2 from 2.0.6 and now in newspaper view instead of each
item showing up, I get a yellow bar at the top of the page that I have to
click before the new item shows up. It says "Additional News are available.
Refresh this view to see them." Any ideas on how to turn it off so it works
    like before? Thanks

  • This is behavior you can not turn off. You have to go back to 2.0.6 if you
really want the old behavior. Note that it only shows up if the tab is visible
and active, any other tabs will just refresh.

Is there a switch that could be done in the code? Maybe in
    NewsBrowserControl.java that could do it?

To clarify, I'm just asking if there's something simple I can change or
comment out to go back to the old behavior, not a request for you to alter the
    main program. Thanks.

  • Yes, if NewsContentProvider.canDoBrowserRefresh always returns true, you get
    the old behavior.

    NewsContentProvider.canDoBrowserRefresh always returns true

    How to change this parameter?

  • Not possible without changing the code, sorry.
