Category: Installation Group: v1.5.0.10 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Schumi77 (schumi77) Assigned to: Dare Obasanjo (carnage4life) Summary: Incomplete Uninstall corrupts Upgrade/New installation Initial Comment: I have a customized installation of windows XP (made by my company for all our laptop) where the user profile is set into a new folder (which include "My Documents" and several other folders). Original profile folder : C:\Documents and Settings\{USERNAME}\ Custom profile folder : D:\{COMPANY_PACK}\{USERNAME}\. During installation, some RssBandit files are created in the "Applications" folder of the custom profile folder. When Starting for the first time, some RssBandit files are created in the "ApplicationData" folder of the original profile folder. After upgrading to 1.5.0.10, the program starts with a error popup which says that it cannot move cache data files. Even after uninstalling and re-installing the program, the error still occurs and my feeds are still present. I figure that the files in the custom profile folder aren't deleted unlike those in the original profile folder. I know that my XP installation is not a good one, but i think that if the program is able to create files in a folder during installation, it should be able to do the same during upgrade or delete them during uninstall. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=615248&aid=1689849&group_id=96589 |
