Hi,
i really would like to see rss bandit to support 2 things:
-SSL / TLS secured rss feeds (https)
-authentication support

For many of our asp.net websites we use elmah http://code.google.com/p/elmah/ (Error Logging Modules and Handlers). The elmah rss exception feed is secured by https and authentication.

Currently i'm only aware of one application that supports both: "RSSOwl". Hopefully rss bandit will be able to handle too - very soon.

Discussion

  • AFAIK that is already supported: add the https://url and set user/password in the add feed wizard (some steps later) and it should work.
What problem do you have exactly?

  • think, it is already built in: just provide the https:// feed url, configure the username and password within feed properties, that's it.

  • Do I miss something here? What exactly shoud we additionally provide as an implementation? What error you get? Is there an error at all...?
