In the options I have:
Web browser: On Link Clicked and New Window:
- Open the configured Default Web Browser

Display: General:
- If no description, open link in reading pane (checked)

In 1.2.x, this worked ok: if a headline didn't have a body
from the RSS feed, it would open the web-based article
in the reading pane. Any link that was clicked in the
article opened in my default browser.

In 1.3.x, it opens the same type of article (one without
a RSS supplied body) in the default browser, skipping
the reading pane entirely.

We switched that behavior because some of the feeds
without an description opens multiple iframe ads or new
windows that caused problems with the older used IEControl.
As that is now fixed, I activated the old behavior you
    described now (CVS).

    Thanks for the report!
