Hello, has anybody repackaged ROX standard icons as Gtk icon theme to put in ~/.icons and use it with Gtk applications? Regards, Bernhard |

Hello! I started to create an gtk/rox/standard SVG icon theme with "as realistic as I can make them" icons. You can see a screener at my ROX Community Page (Alex Kloss). If you want them, drop me a mail and I'll put them online and send you a link. This one: http://www.students.uni-marburg.de/~Klossa/rox-oroborox-xaguar-screener.png For the gtk stock icons, I used the Anianian icon set and extended it with some additional rox-specific icons (plus an "save all" icon for vim). Afterwards, I started to create some high-quality svg icons for devices, applications and mime-types. Those are not finished yet. Tell me if you want to see those online (I'll set up the Anianian-extended theme and the other icons as a separate .tar.gz online then). No, I'm looking for the original rox theme as Gtk+ theme (just files renamed). I want to use it in Xfce. Regards, Bernhard -- |

Rox uses the default gtk-2 theme plus some extra icons (Bookmarks, Show Details, Sort Ascending, Show Hidden and Invert Selection). So you only need to disable the gtk-xfce engine to get the default icon theme. Greetings, Alex |

Done. Find the Anianian-extended GTK2-theme and a preview package of the icons at http://www.students.uni-marburg.de/~Klossa/Anianian-extended.tar.gz http://www.students.uni-marburg.de/~Klossa/svg-icons-0.0.1.tar.gz The svg icons are only the first snippets of a finished icon set. When I finished more of them, I will rename and repackage them to work with rox OOTB. Hi, Rox-Users and other iconophiles! I just finished the first usable version of my own SVG icon set (glee!). You can download it at http://www.students.uni-marburg.de/~Klossa/ROX-SVG-Icons-0.10.0.tar.gz I hope you'll all like it and it will soon become the standard ROX icon theme ;-) If you find any icons missing or think some of them need improvement, please drop me a mail, so I can make this the best icon set for ROX. Short Installation instructions for Icon themes: 1. Unpack the icon theme to one of the places where ROX searches for them: either cd .icons or cd /usr/share/icons and then tar xzfv [file location]/ROX-SVG-Icons-0.10.0.tar.gz 2. Configure ROX to use the icons; right-click on the background of a running ROX window, select "Options", then "Types" and as Symboltheme the Icon Theme you want to use. If the icon theme conforms with what ROX expects, you should now see the new icons. If they don't turn up immediately, try to press the "reload" button. Hi, I followed these instructions and got this error message: Icon theme 'ROX-SVG' does not contain MIME icons. Using ROX default theme instead Does that mean my gtk do not support SVG? Or am I missing something somewhere? Thx, G. Alex Kloss wrote: >Short Installation instructions for Icon themes: > >1. Using the ROX-SVG theme, I get a lot of errors in my logs like: art_render_invoke: no image source given art_render_invoke: no image source given art_render_invoke: no image source given art_render_invoke: no image source given This is with ROX from CVS on Jan 2nd. What am I doing wrong? The theme works just fine otherwise.
