I am using icewm 1.2.14 and rox filer 2.1.2 (Slackware Linux 9.1 with
updates). I was dragging a rox application directory icon to the
pinboard/desktop today. The mouse pointer icon changed to a corner with
a plus sign and the caps lock and scroll lock keyboard buttons started
blinking. At that point the desktop and keyboard appeared to be "hung".
CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE would not kill X.
Is this a "feature" that I somehow activated and don't know how do
deactivate or is it a known bug? Any ideas?
Thank you for your assistance,

IME, that blinking is the kernel having conniptions about something and
giving up :-/
FWIW, I'd not seen this sort of thing myself until my BIOS decided to
reset some memory speed options to 'safe' defaults... which are
anything but safe with the actual DIMMs in my machine. Sigh.
