I don't think I have the unmodified source anymore, but I do have the patched version on my web site. In case you're wondering, I added support for AppDir icons named .DirIcon (the original ROX-Menu only recognized AppIcon.xpm) and I "fixed" a memory leak. Lately I've noticed that the default behavior of the right-click menu in ROX-Filer is bothering me. When I right-click on a file or directory in the filer window, I get the root popup menu with the 'File' entry highlighted. There's nothing wrong with this in and of itself, but it seems a bit inefficient. The cursor starts just to the left of where the File submenu pops up, plus takes a fraction of a second for the submenu to pop up at all. Quite often, I find that I'm moving the mouse down the screen before the submenu has a chance to appear. The thing that makes this really frustrating is that when I right-click on a file or directory, I almost never want any entry in the root menu other than 'File' entry. What I'd really like is a way to make the swap the unmodified right-click behavior with the ctrl+right-click behavior when right-clicking on a file or directory. The root menu is good when clicking empty space, but when right-clicking on a file, the File submenu is the only thing I want 99% of the time. Is there a way to do this? Perhaps some obscure, undocumented setting? If not, then I'd like to request that this be added as a feature. To me, it seems like a more natural way to do it.
