I want to introduce myself before I start using this list. I have previously
used Rox-Filer on a Red Hat 7.1 system. Last night, I downloaded and
installed the Filer, Rox-Session, the lib, and a couple of other things on a
SuSE 7.3 system. I'm very happy so far with the way Rox is managing my x
sessions. I'm sure I will have questions as I explore further.
I'm a close-to-retirement English professor and writer. I've used computers
since 1989 and Linux for almost three years. Using MicroSoft's various
flavors of Windows at work has made me desire to avoid MS as much as possible.
Previously, I had been using Blackbox as a window manager, and sometimes
WindowMaker. I don't like either Gnome or KDE because of their bloat. I like
Blackbox on Rox, but right now I'm using scwm, which I haven't seen before.
The ability to switch window managers easily is a big drawing card for
someone with as low an attention span as I.
The few messages thus far on this list indicate it will be active and
