I've been working on an interface to fusesmb (uses FUSE to mount Samba
shares as standard file systems), and I've put a pre-release at

It basically mounts the file system at ~/smb and opens that in the filer
when run and provides an option to unmount it. You can also configure it to
use a different mount point.
Futhermore it will take arguments such as
