I know that the backwards compatbility issues here are the impretus=20
behind a second lib directory - but isn't there a more elegant=20
solution? What did we do when Intel went from 16 to 32 bit, with=20
ability to run 16 bit code? I'm pretty dang sure that at least Xenix=20
ran on those boxes
