With tarballs I typically run as root with -prefix=/usr, so I assume that I used similar options. In install.sh the /usr option(3) installs almost everything under /usr, but attempts to run update-mime-database from /usr/local/mime. I don't use /usr/local, so I assumed that this was an installation error and moved /usr/local/mime to /usr/share/mime. I remember being baffled when I saw apps in /usr/apps rather than /root/apps. Whatever... |
