I've just released version 1.2.0 of my terminal emulator, ROXTerm, at <http://roxterm.sourceforge.net>. The main change is that the character encoding is a separate setting instead of being tucked away in profiles. In a way this increases the bloat factor slightly. I was thinking of making it possible to compile and run a "lite" version. Basically it would keep all its settings in one big file and not use D-BUS, which should help loading times a bit. The configuration manager could still be used, with an extra button to "compile" the settings into a single file for the "lite" version, but you'd have to manually force any open terminals to reload the settings. What do people think of that idea? -- TH * http://www.realh.co.uk |
