I started rewriting the URL matching stuff and discovered a problematical "feature" in the vte library: it matches substrings in regexes, ie bits of pattern enclosed in (). So I decided to replace a few complex expressions with several simple ones. Could you try it now and see if it's any better? If not, use this patch until I get round to making it optional. I also noticed that vte searches for matches over the whole visible part of the terminal every time you move the mouse and returns the ones the pointer is over. It could be made more efficient by caching matches until the contents change, so I'll suggest that in my bug report. -- TH * http://www.realh.co.uk |
