I've "improved" OroboROX's snapping behaviour because I wanted it to be possible to position a window so its content is precisely centered on one monitor when they're both the same width. This is handy for using MPlayer with Xinerama. What I've done is made it so that windows only stick to edges that you're trying to move them away from, and no longer also snap to edges that they're moving towards. This alone doesn't meet the above criteria so it also has decide what to do when one edge wants to stick and the opposite edge doesn't. I made it do this in the simplest way possible, which appears to work just about satisfactorily, but makes windows jitter a bit occasionally. This patch also seems to be able to apply in conjunction with Jonatan's latest ones. I deliberately left Help/Changes unaltered to prevent clashes. -- TH * http://www.realh.co.uk |
